1.1 Introduction
All around us, we see angles.  If we couldn’t measure and calculate angles, most houses would lean to one side or another.

When we build and construct buildings, roads, bridges, furniture etc, we use angles and angle calculations.

The 55 meter ”Leaning Tower of Pisa” which was finished in the middle of the 1300’s, leans because of ground changes.
Normally, we build buildings with walls that are at right angles to the building’s base.

Today we use angles and distances when we navigate and calculate the distances and drawings in forests, on water and in space.
